unfortunately for me, I have to have MS Office 2003 for a client or
two that
will not switch ot the better software call OpenOffice.org. No
matter what
I show them, they just will not switch. Oh well, can convert them all.
I have no need to use MS Office in a Microsoft based environment.
Never had a problem (Other than macros) at work. Heck, I have
recovered files that Word refused to open thus saving peoples own
butts and work.

wondering why MS created Vista so badly. . .
To make more money. Just like Windows 7 is supposed to do.
Why keep MS Office 2003?
You could keep OOo and save as a .doc. There are free viewers
available for all of the MS Office products from MS to check for
consistency and format.
The only reason I cannot get my wife to give up MS Office 2003 is the
grammar checker.

When Clients want me to support their MS Office installs,
you must have MS Office installed.
I do not like it, but that is the way of it.
I only use it when I have to, and that is not very often now.
I still try to get those hold outs to switch. May be I will
have them switch tech support. I just am getting tired
of supporting MS Office. With my health, I am getting
less and less time to support all of those who want me to
support them. So, I just have to slowly ween these MS
Office people off me and onto some other person's phone
number.
