I am running Safari. I have to admit I am totally clueless. I used to
have a resident Geek but I am recently divorced and do not have any idea

At one point I would get the Command Timed Out dialog box and then I
could ask it to open the document a second time and it would open. Now
it does not even do that any more.
Is it angry with me? Or am I just being sensitive? <smile>

From a number of replies in the last few weeks the Mac OS X 10.5.5 has
an X11 that does not work with OOo 2.3 or 2.4. The advice given on this
forum is to install Ooo 3.0 as this does not need X11 and so will work.
For a more detailed explanation you will need to talk to some of our mac
users.
