Tim L. I have OOO3 and I want to convert my business files from Works to OOO3. I have figured out how to move the Works files into OOO3 and it looks like it will handle #1 below but so far it is failing miserably on #2 and #3. 1. I need to be able to handle 15,000+ records/rows of data and be able to sort the data based on the information in the columns. 2. I need to be able to put a column header/name/lable on each column and not have it wander arround through the document when I do sorts. 3. I need to be able to mark random rows/records and then show, sort, and print only the selected rows/records and have the header/name/lable print at the top of every page like this http://www.cutrightsharpening.us/DBSAMPLE
Davi Wayne-Disney Cut Right Sharpening www.cutrightsharpening.us I know of one business that uses Works as its main office package. I am slowly convincing them to switch to OOo. It is hard to convince a business owner who thinks that MS Works is great for business use. My advice to you is get the person to try OOo. Give them a free CD with it on, plus the PDF document files from the web site. Also there are some great free sites that are tutorials "in pictures". That is how I do it. "Works" most of the time. FREE is a great word to convince people to switch. Tim L. No virus found in this outgoing message.
