It sounds like you were conned. OOo _is_ a free (i.e. no money paid whatsoever) product. There are people who sell it on CDs and offer support, but nobody has to purchase any of that. If you paid for an OOo product, you certainly did not do so at the openoffice.org website. I suggest you take your issue with whoever it was you made payment to. I am sorry if you paid for something you didn't really want to. One has to be careful, I know.

OpenOffice.org is absolutely free of charge.

Greetings,
I recently attempted to download "Open Office," which indicated it was for
free. When I went to the web page I saw it was in fact not free, but
conditional upon 3 different types of payment. Since I thought it was free I naturally chose the least expensive option, for $12.95. But no, this is actually the most EXPENSIVE option, but simply the best *value*. By the time I realized this I was already on the thank-you-for-your-payment page. To whomever is reading this, I DO NOT want this product and would appreciate a refund of my money. I thought the product was free or at least, upon further review, $12.95. I have now spent $40.00 that I would never have spent had I realized my error. The Open Office website has absolutely ZERO links for issues of this kind that I could see. I apologize if this is not your area of expertise, but if you could please help me find who I need to correspond with in order to get this issue resolved I would greatly appreciate it. If
you have any questions or comments please let me know.

Thank you,

Richard S.
