I'm relatively new to OpenOffice, having bought a new computer which

Somehow I have increased the size of the font in a document to what
looks like at least a 16, or more. I have it set for 12, but cannot
reduce the size to that. I would appreciate it if someone would
give me step by step instructions on how to correct the problem.
Thanks.
You say it "looks like" it's larger. What do you actually mean by that?
Hold down the CTRL key and "Scroll" the mouse wheel down. I think you have inadvertently increased
the magnification of the view. Also check what size is indicated in the tool bar. If it says 12
then you have "Scrolled" the magnification up.
