I'm relatively new to OpenOffice, having bought a new computer
which did not have Word on it. I have run across a problem,
however, that I can't seem to solve. I'm sure there is a simple
solution, but I haven't found it with the use of Help. So I'm
writing in the hopes SKS will help me out.
Somehow I have increased the size of the font in a document to
what looks like at least a 16, or more. I have it set for 12, but
cannot reduce the size to that. I would appreciate it if someone
would give me step by step instructions on how to correct the
problem. Thanks.
You say it "looks like" it's larger. What do you actually mean by that?
Hold down the CTRL key and "Scroll" the mouse wheel down. I think you
have inadvertently increased the magnification of the view. Also
check what size is indicated in the tool bar. If it says 12 then you
have "Scrolled" the magnification up.
Gene,
That's it! Wow! I had somehow inadvertently increased the view size
somewhere along the way. My thanks to all of you for giving me
suggestions. This is a great list!
Now.....I have another frustrating problem which I'm sure someone can
help me to solve. There again, in working on a document I have
inadvertantly done something that caused the line spacing to jump from
single to 1 1/2 spacing. I haven't found out how to change it back.
Can you give me a solution? Thanks again.
Sarah
