Mr Fuchs ,
Thank you very much for replying to my e-mail this week .
I finally managed to install openoffice and I am glad to say that all is
working well.
I followed your advice to go directly to www.openoffice.org
However , I doubt I will get my money back .
i forward you the e-mail I received from paypal .When I tried to download
openoffice last week I was always ask to make a "donation".
Maybe you can check the link yourself .It is very peculiar .
Thanks again , Paul Fontaine

I joined openoffice .org last sunday and donated money towards it

I entered password few times but nothing works .Everytime I want to
read an e-mail from friends supported with openoffice I am asked to join

I go around in circles . I have sent two messages to you but did not
get any answers .
What I am doing wrong ?
Looking forward hearing from you . Paul Fontaine
I do not know why you have to enter a password or join Openoffice.
Openoffice is free from www.openoffice.org and you don't need to join
anything or enter any passwords. If you have paid money for something
from a different web site that claims to be Openoffice then I suggest
you try to get your money back.
Openoffice can open Word documents so you shouldn't have any problems
once you have installed the correct version of the software.

Mr. Fontaine,
I am glad to hear that you now have OpenOffice working properly.
I looked at your receipt. It contains a link to "
http://www.teamopenoffice.de/". I do not know what this is; perhaps someone
else on this list can help us. However I do not believe it is anything to do
with OpenOffice.org
That is a valid link.
<http://www.google.com/search?complete=0&hl=en&q=teamopenoffice.de&btnG=Google+Search>
And you'll find posts from most of those listed on the release list.

[warning it's 2Mb - check slide 10]
Also see:
http://contributing.openoffice.org/donate.html
"Account Owner: Team OpenOffice.org e.V."
And if you click on the Paypal donate button you will be taken to a
secure (https) page where you can make a donation via Paypal.
I suspect that Mr. Fontaine made an actual donation to OOo - thanks Mr.
Fontain!
Hmmm. If it's a genuine site, what caused Mr. Fontaine's problem with
passwords and being asked to "join OpenOffice"? There seems to have been
something wrong because when he downloaded the software from
www.openofice.org his problems disappeared.
I certainly echo your thanks, though if, indeed, Mr. Fontaine has
donated to OpenOffice.org
