Brewster:

Nope - I've been sticking with the "Normal". But I must say, I
have some difficulty considering the text handling offered by
Impress to be anything resembling "normal" when it seems to
be unable to add blank lines in response to a carriage return :-)

Sorry to be so tardy in response, but we came down with some sort
of a nasty bug that's pretty much laid us low for several days.

I'm still suspicious that somehow my copy of OO V2 has been crippled -
I've had responses from people who tried the same recommendations I
tried and got the same non-results I've gotten. This thing should
really be fairly simple, and perhaps would be were the docs somewhat
more forthcoming. Part of my problem is that I've never tried creating a
presentation slide show before, and I have always had some serious
difficulty in working out how to deal with text when it is
being treated as part of a graphics block - it just behaves in too many
facets entirely differently from the way it does in a word processor.

Thanks for your help and concern,

Brewster

Simply because you don't like to hear it, that doesn't make it untrue.
