If you are describing a tabula rosa, set the tabs for the first line.
They should transfer to all subsequently created lines.

If not so rosa, highlight the entire document, Ctrl-a if I remember
correctly. Set your tabs, which all highlighted lines will take.

Whole doc still selected, mouse over the tab fount (my description) at
far left of the tab field, atop your document, below buttons and menu
bar. Tap that fount until you see the symbol for decimal tab, something
like [* _|. *]. Drag that symbol onto the tab field, to one of your
intended positions. Repeat until you've set all intended tabs.

Be aware that you also may move cursor to a line that already has been
tabbed as you wish, double tap the format paint brush button and drag
the cursor over all other lines of the doc. Don't forget to tap the
paint brush button after you have painted your target.

The paint brush is indiscriminant, however: all other styles, formats
and fonts of the sample line will be carried with the tabs you want to
transfer.
