Open Office 3.1 on WINDOWS however was a different story. All that
happened is that the Filter window appeared, upon which (unless I missed
it) Microsoft Works does NOT appear and so it seems that the Windows
version of OO 3.1 won't open wps documents whereas it seems that the
Linux version will!
And of course while we are on the subject of MS operability, although
Word 2007 will open wps files - the formatting is not right..... he he he!
