Hi all, I have a user who just moved to Kubuntu from MS Windows XP and
is enjoying Open Office 3.1 installed from the Ubuntu OOo PPA. One
feature that she is missing is the ability to highlight an entire row,
and then move the highlight up / down a row. Apparently MSO could do
this, though I cannot figure out how to do it there, either.

To be clear, the user selects (for instance) row 8, then with the
keyboard (either arrow keys, or maybe page up/down) moves the
selection from row 8 to row 9. This effectively highlights a row,
which helps her in her workflow (calling people, the spreadsheet is a
list of contact information).

Thanks in advance for any ideas on how to do this in OOo 3.1.

Move down (or to any row you like) and then hit shift and space together.
Ctrl/Space does the same for columns. Works on Win XP Pro using OOo 2.4.1. I
have to assume it'll work in 3.1

CTRL+SPACE highlights the row your cursor is in. You still have to re-select the row when you move the cursor to a new row. For highlighting columns use CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE.
