Perhaps trying to rephrase your question would be a good idea.  I at 
least cannot decide what it is you're asking for.  In fact, I don't see 
the connection between importing quickbooks into Excel and OO.o unless 
you meant Calc, not Excel.  And auto-upgrading Calc (or Excel) would be 
a function of Quickbooks, if it even does that; I'm not aware there is 
any such thing available but I could be mistaken; it's been awhile since 
I used QB.

One of the first things you should probably do is update to OO.o version 
3.1 as there have been a LOT of fixes and improvements in it.  But 
mostly I think you need your question to be more precise about what you 
want to accomplish.
