Lene,
Perhaps trying to rephrase your question would be a good idea. I at
least cannot decide what it is you're asking for. In fact, I don't see
the connection between importing quickbooks into Excel and OO.o unless
you meant Calc, not Excel. And auto-upgrading Calc (or Excel) would be
a function of Quickbooks, if it even does that; I'm not aware there is
any such thing available but I could be mistaken; it's been awhile since
I used QB.
One of the first things you should probably do is update to OO.o version
3.1 as there have been a LOT of fixes and improvements in it. But
mostly I think you need your question to be more precise about what you
want to accomplish.

I have OpenOffice 2.0 on my home computer and there are some 'excel'
files that I'm trying to import into Quickbooks. It doesn't recognize
it. Will updating to the latest version solve the problem? And I
suppose I will have to copy & paste the info into the updated
template?!?
Is there also a way to get set up so that I have the option to
automatically update OpenOffice when new versions come out? I also
have 3 of the OpenOffice systems on my laptop. It is an ASUS that
only has 4GB to run everything. So if there are downloads, can I
automatically just update the ones that I have on it at present?
(Actually, come to think of it, I believe I put it on my external
harddrive, but I still limited it to the 3. I think parts of it are
still connected into the main computer).
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Lene (:~]
