This sounds like an OSX, rather than OO, issue. Look for a setting in System Preferences (in the Apple menu in the upper-left of your screen) that controls the trackpad's behavior. On my iMac, zooming is controlled in the Keyboard and Mouse prefs, under the Mouse tab. On a laptop, the trackpad usually performs the mouse's functions.
