Mike: thanks! I note the following on the NeoOffice users patch and
release info page:
"This patch also provides a way for MacBook users to disable trackpad
gestures with NeoOffice. Many users have reported that their MacBook
laptop's trackpad is too sensitve and that causes NeoOffice documents to
zoom in and out unexpectedly. While Mac OS X does not provide any way to
reduce trackpad sensitivity, users can stop unexpected zooming by
disabling all trackpad magnify and swipe gestures in NeoOffice"
Looks like exactly my problem, and the fix. Looks like I'll also be
moving to NeoOffice...
