If an address can't have an @ in it, then you did not send this message. The mailing list address (and *every* valid e-mail address) has an @ in it. If you can reply to the list, you can reply to the unsubscribe confirmation request, just as you previously replied to the subscribe confirmation request.

As far as I know, to unsubscribe you need to send a message to the following
address:
[email protected]

You don't even have to enter any text in the Subject line or in the body.
When you send it, the engine will send you a message. Just reply to that one
(again, just reply without entering any text yourself) and then you receive
your final 'goodbye' notice.
