I don't know who you registered with, but if you go to www.openoffice.org (note the ".org" part), OpenOffice.org is available free, can be used without registration or passwords of any kind (unless you choose to participate in forums, report bugs, or certain other activities), and provides a wealth of free documentation as well as support from this list. By the way, we're just other users who volunteer some time to help each other. We're not the "you" who sent that message, which did not come from OpenOffice.org.
