In FR localized OOo I enter dates in French standard format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY, not in US format. Which locale are you using ? And if I want to see the dates in format like "dimanche 14 novembre 2009" I do not like to enter a so long text. So I do not want that the input format would be identical to the display format. > I agree that > entering dates in format XYZ then displaying dates in format X'Y'Z' > would be great, so long as one could configure the two formats. Input format should be relative only to the user interface. Another user should be able to enter dates with its own input format without knowing anything about an input format related to this file. So input date format should be defined only at OOo's UI level, in the same way as the decimal separator.
