On Kubuntu 9.10 with OOo 3.1 (probably Go-OOo) with the Language
Options set to use the default locale setting:

!) With export LC_ALL="en_DK.UTF-8" (which uses the YYYY-MM-DD
format), entering date as YYYY-MM-DD:
Calc shows "MM/DD/YY" in the cell, and "MM/DD/YYYY" in the formula
bar. F2 for cell edit changes the cell display to "MM/DD/YYYY" for the
duration of the edit.

2) Now I configure a cell to use formatting YYYY-MM-DD:
Calc shows "YYYY-MM-DD" in the cell, and "MM/DD/YYYY" in the formula
bar. F2 for cell edit changes the cell display to "MM/DD/YYYY" for the
duration of the edit.

These are the bugs as I see them:
1) The default OOo date display is not the same as the locale's date
display setting.
2) The edit date format is different than the format used for display.

I am not sure from where the date format for (1) is being taken, it is
not the US setting that I see in my personal user account. Where is
this format taken from?

Regarding (2), I would actually prefer to display and edit dates in
two different formats, however, they must be configurable. I cannot
edit dates in MM/DD/YYYY format.
