As others have mentioned, it's likely you're sending your files in a
format your correspondents can't read. If it's not necessary for them
to be able to edit the documents, you might send them as PDF files.
Just use the "Export as PDF" option on the "File" menu. Nearly everyone
has Adobe Reader and can open those files.
