Looks like it's been an ongoing problem for some time: <http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=18191> [OOo 2.0 Beta - MS Word export - disabled change tracking?] http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=34124 * Summary: Document from MS Word won't save as word with recorded changes. Description: Opened: Mon Sep 13 14:56:00 +0000 2004 Target milestone: OOo Later That issue report indicates that it was, may have been possible, in earlier version? I'll keep looking to see if I can find more. But, I think that the ability to track changes between the formats would be nearly impossible to maintain accurately given the wide variation in MS Word versions & formats (.doc, .docx. word97, word2K, word2007, word2010 etc). And IMO, accuracy would be a topmost priority in collaborating/tracking document change. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
