Every file that is sent to me from outside sources opens as "read only".
I've sent myself files and verified that the file permissions were not
set to read only. When I open the mail at home, it opens as "read
only". This holds true for .odt files and for various MS Office files.
I can't believe this is right. Can anyone suggest a solution?
My interim method is to use "save as" to save the "read only" copy of
the file, then open the saved file. Thats getting to be a pain in the butt.
