Hi,
I ran OOo 3.0 on a 192MB system with 350MHz and XUbuntu Linux which has a smaller
footprint than the ususal KDE/Gnome based systems. Very, very slow, but still usable with
a little patience and "normal size" documents.
Hope this helps,
Actually, that helps a LOT. It REALLY lowers the requirements I need.
Do you remember how long it would take to open or save a document that was 1-2
pages long in Writer?
Thanks!
Hal
2 pages of Writer can have lots of difficult, nested formatting, objects
and pictures, particularly when imported from *.doc.
Anyway, first time, with no snippet of OOo in memory, loading a letter
took more than 30sec. Second time 10-15 sec.
