OTOH it might just mean your explanation isn't clear enough for people
to consider using their valuable time to understand the problem.
However, I /think/ what you're after is what's described under 'external
data' (now 'external links' I assume) on page 234 of the user guide at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/OOo2.x/user_guide2_draft.pdf
(now outdated). However, I have to say I've not been able to follow this
with v3 (with /any/ file) - the OK button remains greyed out. But do
take a look too at
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/7/7b/0310CG3-LinkingCalcData.pdf
(near page 17) which seems to be an updated version.
Hope this might give a pointer or two.
