OTOH it might just mean your explanation isn't clear enough for people
to consider using their valuable time to understand the problem.
However, I /think/ what you're after is what's described under 'external
data' (now 'external links' I assume) on page 234 of the user guide at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/OOo2.x/user_guide2_draft.pdf
(now outdated). However, I have to say I've not been able to follow this
with v3 (with /any/ file) - the OK button remains greyed out. But do
take a look too at
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/7/7b/0310CG3-LinkingCalcData.pdf
(near page 17) which seems to be an updated version.
Hope this might give a pointer or two.
I failed that one too; the OK button remains greyed out even if I select
local files on my HDD.
But you are probably right that I my explanation isn't clear enough and I
should probably stay focused on only one problem.
So this is my problem:
Let's say that I have a file called test.ods and it's located at
http://hem.bredband.net/b619539/.
I want to sum a few cells from that file, let's say Tabell1.A2:A9, into a
new file.
So what should I type into a cell in the new spreadsheet file to obtain
this?
I have tried
”=SUM('http://hem.bredband.net/b619539/Test.ods'#$Tabell1.A2:A9)” and it
didn't work. The result was ”#NAME?”.
