I suspect it's not the low battery but could be a poor USB connection, if the defect is within the laptop prt itself. We just bought a brand new mouse with it's own USB connector and the jumping around is the same with both meese. I just turned off the mouse then pulled & replugged the USB gadget. We'll see if that's it.
And yes, Gene, I'm positive my thumbs are on the spacebar or curled against my hand, not touching the pad. Thanks for your input, everyone.
