To be more consistent with OpenOffice.org and it's styles model,
you would do it as follows:

Insert -> Manual Break -> Page Break on the first page.

Change first page to "First page" style either through the Stylist,
or by right-clicking on the page style in status bar. The second 
page (and onwards) will still be Default style.

Insert -> Header/Footer -> Default

Insert Page Number in Header/Footer.

All done.
