Now IF I am understanding you correctly - you are asking what the OpenOffice
suite of products does. Is this correct?

If you have ever run accross something called the "Microsoft Office" you
already have a very good idea of what OpenOffice is. Well, one is
proprietary, copywrited, poorly-coded quasi-spyware that costs more and more
each year while it refuses to be compatible with even it's own earlier
versions. The other is a well-coded, freely-supported-by-volunteers,
openSource software with no skeletons in it's closet (and free too.).

Originally OpenOffice began as the StarOffice by Sun Microsystems in the
1990's.

In OpenOffice you will find a Word Processor which is compatible with most
other word processors - including Microsoft Word. You will also find a
spreadsheet program, presentation program and database with the same
compatibilities.

If you want a copy, then download it from the www.openoffice.org site and it
is yours to use. You MAY pay something if you like - many of us have done so
just to encourage the coders to keep up the good work - but there are no
obligations.

Did I misunderstand the question?
