Hi Jan,
I just opened a file using this path and it worked fine. I'm using the last rc version.

\\Labserver\libadmin$\2002lib\slanted text.sxc

Hello.

Anyone knows if the 2.0 can open Network paths? I
ask because The RC2
and RC3 cant.
I'm not completely sure what you mean here.
Do you mean go through samba or MS file sharing and
open a file on another machine on a network.
If this is what you mean I did it last night.

ON a Win 2k machine
1. I went into openoffice 2.0 after installing it.
2. I clicked file > open > my network places
3. found the file I wanted on a Win XP machine
4. opened the file

I haven't tried it on a gnu/linux or mac though.
I could have sworn I had done this with RC3 as well
but I may remember wrong.

As I thought, it isn´t functioning.

If I try to open a file via it´s Network Path I get the message that it
doesn´t exist.

\\Servername\Sharename\Filename

In this way I can´t install the Software at my custommers, they still
hav to work with 1.1.5.
I hope that Bug will be fixed in the future.

Thanks,
