Hi John,
What's your operating system? On all the Windows installations of OOo I've done, there's always an item in 'add / remove' programs. Running the setup program in the OOo program directory also gives you the option to uninstall. If you're running Linux, removing any program is cryptic as far as I can see (apologies to Linux lovers. I want to be one too, but I'm trapped in MS land).
