I am using Open Office 2.0. While reading a text document saved from the
web in Writer I tried to delete a passage from the text. The document
froze up and I finally used Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get on with my reading.
When I asked it to End Task Open Office shut down. Then I noticed it was
missing from my bottom Tool Bar as well. Going into the Software
settings I tried to run the repair fix to see if whatever was wrong
would right itself. Curiously, when I went to my doc files everything in
our files had turned into a Wordpad document. If I open one of them they
open in Word Pad.
They can be opened in Open Office but they only save as Word Pad docs
even though I set it to open as something else. If I create a new doc it
saves as a Word pad even though I saved it as an Open Office doc as well.
Holy ___!!! What's that all about? Hope you can help...
