I have a table that is 38 pages long. Due to the nature of the table,
it must be printed in landscape (or appear that way). However, I need
to retain page numbers on the short side of the page. I am putting
together a journal article that includes this table and everything must
flow nicely. Surely there is a way to do this, I just can't figure out
how. Can anyone help me?
I suggest that you try the following:
- set the page style to landscape ;
(Stylist, F11, choose icon for page styles (4th left top), rightclick in
the active style (probably default), tab page)
- also activate the header, on the tab header;
- close the dialog with OK;
- now place the cursor in the header area and type two tabs (if
necessary change tab settings/position);
- choose insert fields page number;
- select the page-number (field) you just inserted;
- now choose Format|Character in the menu;
- go to tab position and set the rotation to 90 degr.
By choosing footer in stead of header etc. you can play with the
position of the page-numbering.
You might also give a try to the use of a frame.
Succes & greetings,
Cor
