I think that the problem is that the template shows a fixed height of 16 cm 
while the envelope itself has a height of 11 cm, excluding the flap.

The kit you mentioned was a help, but it tells me that my envelope needs to be 
rotated 180 degrees when it doesn't.  The orientation is correct as it is.  I 
created a template from scratch with a height of only 11 cm, and it was 
exactly the same.  Because I am using a laser printer, the printer margin 
cannot be zero.

The only solution I can find is to print the envelope with the flap open and 
with a piece of of paper inserted to make the envelope the size that OO wants 
it to be.  A distinct problem is that the envelope template opens with the 
last address printed on it, not the address from the corresponding letter, as 
Word does.  So far, I have been keeping Word just to print envelopes, but 
that is no longer an option.  I am using windowed envelopes whenever 
possible, but that is a workaround, not a fix.

The envelope I am first prompted to use is C6, which I don't like, but perhaps 
it is better supported.
