I do see that, and thank you. However when I highlite the cell, and go to format/cell/number/general (or use the 1234.56 - or set decimals)the apostrophe text indicator stays in place ... so it doesn't work... but if I retype the number AFTER setting the correct format ... it will work.
Another thing - maybe related... the foramt painter doesn't seem to work any better... Do I have a bad install?
