IMO a broad request to "provide reveal codes" won't get anywhere. It needs to be broken down into functionality that can be built onto the existing OOo model. For example, according to this thread, reveal codes allow easier editing of text attributes. The questions are (already answered in this thread I think): - How exactly is it easier? A detailed comparison between WP and OOo is needed. - What functionality could be added to OOo to make doing the same job more efficient (but in a different way to RCs)? I've forgotten why RCs are more efficient, however, assuming that it saves having to select the text before changing the attribute, an RFE for a mode to more easily select text extents where the attribute or style is the same might be attractive, since it is currently not possible AFAIK. Whereas it is possible to easily select certain blocks of text: - any number of characters (click + drag), or - a whole word (2 clicks), or - several words (2 clicks + drag), or - a whole sentence (3 clicks), or - several sentences (3 clicks + drag), or - a whole paragraph (4 clicks). To be able to similarly select a block of text that has the same attributes or style would be useful. I've often wanted to do this. A set of functions equivalent to the above, except for style extents, might be a good enhancement. Something like: - any number of characters - stopping when the character style changes (ctrl + click + drag), or - a whole contiguous character style extent (ctrl + 2 clicks), or - multiple adjacent whole character style extents (ctrl + 2 clicks + drag), or - a whole paragraph style extent (ctrl + 4 clicks). - multiple adjacent whole paragraph style extents (ctrl + 4 clicks + drag). --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
