My suggestion is, that you change your keyboard layout. Select your
English keyboard (with Deadkeys) and you should be able to type these
letters easily. This should also be possible, if you're using windows. 

Do you have keys with the needed symbols (accents)? If yes, try to press
the key with the accent first and then the other letter, for example `
and then a to get à. 

You can change the keyboard layout by clicking on 
Start | Settings | System settings | Region-/Language settings. You can
change from one keyboard layout to the other by pressing <Shift> + <Alt>



One of these tips should work.
