Format ->> Page -> Header will enable you to suppress the header completely. Another option is to right-click on the little tab in the lower left corner where it says "Sheet 1" (or used to before you used the other advice) and pick "rename" from the menu that appears. It won't let you space out the name, but if your objection is to "Sheet 1" rather to having something useful there, this'll do. Can't hurt to know two options.
