Hi,

I'm using OOo 2.0.2 in Slackware Linux 10.2

I wanted to copy and paste contents from this page:
http://tanakhml2.alacartejava.net/cocoon/tanakhml/d11.php2xml?sfr=15&prq=11&psq=1&lvl=99&pnt=tru&acc=tru&dia=tru&enc=heb

I already installed the required font (SBR_Hebrew.ttf)
in OOo using spadmin. I also have it in my system.

However, the font does not appear to be supported by
OOo because:
1) It produces sans serif font instead of the hebrew
font when typing using that font from the drop-down
menu.
2) When I copy it from my browsers (mozilla and
konqueror-- which by the way displays the font
correctly), and pasted it in OOo writer, all I get is
??????? or garbled letters.

Any hints?

I found the problem- the site is using ISO-8859-1 encoding and doing
funky things with it, instead of using UTF-8 encoding. It was probably
written with some Microsoft tool. I'm surprised that it passes
validation. I can copy and paste form the site, but the vowels are not
lined up properly with the letters. In any case, if you want the
Tahoma Hebrew font (my personal favorite) then I can send it to you.
