My brother is an attorney using openoffice writer in his practice. Openoffice falls short of word perfect and ms word when it comes to creating a legal pleading. These documents need double spaced line numbering on every page. Certain sections of the document are single spaced and the oo line numbering isn't sophisticated enough. Work around solutions use a graphic or separate frame to produce the correct numbering format. While this works, it's more awkward than competitive word processors. The user either manually inserts this on each page or calls a macro before printing. I'm hoping to find a cleaner solution. I submitted this problem as a feature request a few months ago but nothing has happened so far.
Does anyone have other ideas to solve this problem? Is there a way to create a template that would automatically insert this line numbering frame on each page the user creates? Thanks!
