IMO, JRE should just be included in all OOo packages as standard, and
the installer app should figure out or ask if it's needed/wanted or
not. I.e. if JRE isn't on the machine then just install it and use it.
If an older version is on the machine then ask if it should be
upgraded, or install a copy that's private to OOo. I don't see any
advantage in having a half operative OOo on some machines and a fully
operative version on others. It will make the download a little bigger,
but it will make everything a lot simpler and consistent.
