     The password protection for Excel is not all that good. I assume 
you sending the Excel file to someone else. You would be better 
protecting the spreadsheet if you installed PGP and used that to 
encrypt your Excel files you send. Either that or have your 
recipients install OOo and use OOo's spreadsheets.
