Start - (All) Programs - Open Office - Writer(right click) Send to -
Desktop (Creat shortcut)

About 10 seconds

Two hours wasted because you don't understand how to use Microsoft
Windows correctly, this option is part of the Windows OS not the
OpenOffice.org program.
