Just out of curiosity, why did you need to use Gimp? Can you fade
the background graphic in OOo Draw by changing the transparency
setting before exporting the file as a *.png? It might take a little
experimentation to get the right transparency.
Two ways exist to add or delete a watermark. (Remember that a
"watermark" is merely a graphic placed in the background. So, all
characteristics of this graphic must be set before adding it as a
background.)
Format > Page > Background > Graphic as mentioned before.
F11 to open the Styles and Formating Window. Then click the Page
Styles (second icon from the left). Right click Default and select
Modify. The same window opens as in the first method. Click the
Background tab and select Graphic from the "As" drop down list. (This
will most likely have the Color selection visible unless you already
have a background graphic for the spreadsheet.)
