There is more than "downloaded" in installation of application. With OpenOffice you either double-click the .exe and allow it to unpack files or unpack .zip. Then you open folder where you get unpacked files and double-click "setup.exe". Then you follow onscreen prompts to complete installation and voila - it wil be under Start\All Progs\Open Office 2.0.
