First of all, cold start is as important as start from cache, because
cold start is first experience the user gets. 
Secondly, even for warm OO start to be fast you have to have fast CPU,
because it is not just disk access what affects it.

Fast hardware compensates lack of optimization? 
Not everybody can afford the latest and greatest.
