Thanks, James. Yours is certainly the better-informed statement.
I voted for the issue. It looks as though it began with a complaint
about a dialogue and expanded from there.
For me, it's purely a preference, though a strong enough one to
influence strongly the choice between one software package and another.
I rejected versions 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 on other grounds.
I read a post in the forum some time ago mentioning an en_GB language
pack for 2.0.4. I had no idea there was a major problem with it.
I wish you the compliments of the season.

I think this is a better statement: The en_GB translation is broken right now.
This problem started with the 2.0.3 release and still continues. There are
development engineers looking into this problem as it affects a major portion
of the OpenOffice.org community. We do apologize for this problem and hope to
have it solved in the near future. In the meantime, please do download and
utilize the en_US version if you feel that this will suffice.
BTW, the issue number for this problem is 66919. Please take time and visit
the Issue Tracker, register and VOTE for this issue.

I am in the USA using a WindowsXP computer. When I download OOo I can not find
a choice to download the UK version of OpenOffice. By default the EN version
is downloaded. How do I get a UK version of OOo?
At some stage, there will, hopefully, be a language pack for en_GB.
Language packs are not needed for the fanfare and grandstanding of a new
release.
