Ok, this seems like a reasonable workaround that works here:
Add 0.15" spacing above and below the table.
Why that helps I don't know, but with that change, the table seems to
behave properly.
It doesn't work with 0.10" and it doesn't work with only space above the
table, so it seems like a fragile situation and I won't be suprised if
you still experience problems with it.
