I sell computer systems and MS OFFICE 2003 PRO is not cheap. The oem version would sell about $350 full version. And legally, you can only purchase this oem version when you purchase a new computer. Or you can go to DELL.COM and check out to see how much it cost. This version of MS OFFICE will not install in older version of windows. MS doesn't come cheap. So if you were to use MS OFFICE, not only do you pay for the cost of MS OFFICE but also the cost to change your WINDOWS to the current version WIN XP which would cost you another $120 for full version. So do your math and that would cost you about $470. This is assuming you will it install both yourself. If you had to bring it to a computer server shop to install it, the service charges would be about $120.... and that would bring your total up to $590... Open Office will run on windows 98 and it's $FREE. What differnce does it make as long as the end result is the same. I don't see any difference between MSO and OO if I have to compose a letter or document for distribution as long as the end result is the same. The one receiving or reading the document won't know whether I use MSO or OO. My opinion is you only use MSO if you feel like donating to Mr. Bill Gates who need a little bit more of money for his charitable cause...

Also, at least when I bought my last copy of MS Office (XP), back in 2002 or 2003 I think it was, the version that most closely resembles OOo, was even more than $497. The version I am talking about had Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. -- WalterAM http://walteram.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------- Don't get soaked.
