Even though his causes are worthy, I'd much rather donate directly to
the foundation and download OO myself.
And the power user factor that you bring up is a good one as well.  I'd
classify myself as more of a low to medium power user in terms of the
higher functions (Macros, etc).  I need a word counter, and a fairly
good spell checker, but not much else.
Of course, if we got what we needed and not what we wanted, we'd
probably all be still using vi!
