I must be doing something wrong.
I have had occassion to try and replace a keystroke with a 'space' (not
a tab I know) and I have been unable to do it.
Sometimes when importing text into calc or base I have been given a
large number of entries with an asterisk in front of a number which I
need to be rid of.
I tried you little trick given above... all that happened was that the *
was replaced by a \t. I was hoping for a space.
